It has been almost half a month since the new year and we thought it is finally time to talk about the future. To be more precise, the future of Apple. Oh don’t worry, we are not here to talk about whether Apple is going to last or not (because of course it will). We are just here to discuss all the possible things that Apple could release this year. There is no single Apple event that the brand relies on because typically Apple releases its products separately. Typically, Apple conducts at least four events in a year to launch new products.
The first Apple event of the year 2022 is expected to be the Spring event that can take place anywhere between March and April. The second and probably the biggest Apple event is the WWDC 2022. We all know that Apple holds these events during June each year and usually, the products released in this event are the Macbooks and new iOS launches. The third event is expected to be the usual September one that Apple typically uses to launch the new iPhone models every year. And lastly, we are expecting a fourth Apple event that could happen in October or November of 2022.

Now let’s take a look at the products that are rumored to be released or announced at these Apple events of 2022, shall we?
Apple event 2022 – Spring (March or April)
Last year, Apple launched several amazing products during the April event. The products that were released or launched at the Apple event (April) 2021 were:
- M1 iPad Pro
- M1 iMac
- AirTags
- Apple TV 4K
From the rumors, we are expecting a brand iMac Pro launch during this spring Apple event of 2022. This rumored iMac Pro is said to be 27-inch with ProMotion technology. It may have the M1 Pro or the M1 Max chips along with a Pro Display.
It is also said that Apple is working on a Mac Mini that will feature the Apple silicon chip. This Apple silicon chip is said to support 64 GB RAM and the Mac Mini might also be carrying the M1 Pro or the M1 Max chips.
We know that Apple released an 11-inch iPad Pro in 2021. Rumors suggest that Apple is working on upgrading this iPad Pro with features like wireless charging, an improved 12.9-inch display, and more design changes. We expect all these products to be launched at the Apple spring event in 2022.
Apple event 2022 – WWDC (June)
Not much is rumored for the WWDC in 2022 because Apple usually surprises their customers in this particular event more than others. And with the continued rise of pandemic and COVID-related health issues, this year’s WWDC may also be held digitally just like 2021 and 2020.
Some say that we can expect the launch of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and macOS 13 in this Apple event. But we can only assume as long we can and hope that some exciting products are coming.
Apple event 2022 – September
The September event is probably the most anticipated Apple event of each year because that is when Apple releases iPhones. In 2022, everyone is expecting a brand new iPhone 14 and all the versions of it. There is also a rumor going around that Apple is keen on releasing the Apple watch series 8 in this September event along with the iPhone.
Rumored features for the upcoming iPhone 14 are faster 5G modems, more improved camera quality, and probably an A16 chip. There could also be some design improvements to make the iPhone look better than the previous version. Consumers are expecting to see a version of the iPhone without any iPhone Mini models this year. But we will have to wait and see what Apple has planned.

And for the Apple watch series 8, the watch could be improved with new features like temperature sensing, improved blood glucose monitoring, and blood pressure monitoring.
Apple event 2022 – October or November
This last Apple event usually focuses on the Macs and iPads. Apple promised a brand new Macbook Pro for this year but there isn’t any new information or rumors about the same so far. For all we know, it could still be in the development stage or the product is already ready to be launched. But we are expecting some kind of announcement for the Macbook Pro in this Apple event.
Rumour has it that we can expect an AR/VR (augmented reality/virtual reality) headset before the end of this year. The features of this headset can include voice activation, a dedicated display, probably an rOS (reality operating system), and many more.
Another latest rumor suggests that Apple is working on a new and improved Macbook Air that most likely will be out by the end of this year. This new Macbook Air is said to feature the Apple silicon chip that could improve the graphics better than the current M1 Macbook Air.
Last but not least, the reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that it is possible to get some kind of announcement about the Apple car by the end of this year. The launch of this Apple car could happen further in the future (maybe 2023 or even 2025) but maybe we can keep an eye out for at least a small announcement about the same.
